From the beginning each piece of their inventory was personally selected assuring the authenticity as well as quality of the pieces. The sisters together and separately have annually traveled to Asia in search of antiques and accessories for the store. China, Japan, Viet Nam and Cambodia have all been sources.
To assure the quality of their inventory and to expand their knowledge they have consulted with leading experts including Martin Lorber of Doyle's auction Gallery and a participant in the Antiques' Road Show, Amy Poster of the Brooklyn Museum which has a world class collection of Asian Art, furniture and artifacts and many other experts in the field.. NYU has continue to be a resource and both sisters have continued to expand their knowledge through course offerings in the Appraisal Studies Program. In addition they have assembled an extensive resource Library with over 500 books. This library is expanded and consulted continuously and has been a resource for their customers and other dealers.
They are known as one of the friendliest stores in Brooklyn and many of their customers bring friends to this gem of a store which combines the best features of a well run and organized store, a small museum and an exciting gallery.
