The furniture depicted in these pages can best be described as Ming style  furniture.  During the Qing dynasty, Chinese craftsmen continued to make furniture in a fundamentally minimalist style that emphasizes practicality and simplicity, with additional emphasis on naturlness, balance and elegance. 

By traveling to mainland China and picking the pieces for our inventory one-by-one we can assure our customers the highest quality furniture, cleaned and finished in the traditional manner.  The pieces selected for our collection offer beautiful but practical solutions to your storage, seating and decorative needs. The simplicity and versatility of this furniture means that as your needs change you can change where and how you use your piece.  A small cabinet can serve at your bedside as a night stand, in your living room as a end table, in your foyer as a catchall for keys and mail  just to name a few possiblilities.   

Our furniture is constructed from solid woods.  No veneers are used.  All joints are pegged, mortise-tenon, these are among the most secure joints in furniture construction.  No nails or screws are used.  Its care and maintenance is best assured by periodic waxing with a simple butcher's wax and providing an environment free from direct heat sources.  With reasonable care you can count on your descendants being able to enjoy any of these classic pieces. We warranty our pieces for a year from date of sale.
